Giant Bing

This variety was actually named by our customers. The name stuck because upon seeing this variety, a common phrase was "Wow! That looks like a Giant Bing!"

The Bing cherry gets its name from a Manchurian Chinese immigrant named Ah Bing.

The flesh is quite firm, but may be considered a bit soft when compared to the Bing. The juicy consistency of the inner pulp offers all of the bright and tangy flavors one looks for in a classic sweet cherry variety.

The Tulare variety is popular primarily in Southern California, near to where the cherry originated.

The Lapin cherry was named for cherry breeding pioneer and horticulturist, Dr. Karl Lapin. Dr Lapin developed the cherries in the late 1930's for the Agriculture Canada Research Station in British Columbia.
